Mahler Blue Necklace
Nook of the North have created these amazing hand embroidered pieces inspired by the 1950’s and 60’s. This necklace was inspired by the printing techniques of the era and designers such as Marion Mahler after whom this necklace is named. The pendant is made with an Indigo linen and is fully interfaced to provide support. It is stitched with geometric shapes with the fabric on a hoop and then bound the edges using embroidery threads in Blush, Burnt Orange and Cobalt Blue. This is suspended under a hammered brass bar and hung from a chain of gold vermeil (sterling silver plated with 18ct gold). The brass bar is enamelled to prevent tarnishing. All findings are 18ct gold vermeil. The pendant measures 90x50mm and the chain is 24" long trace chain. It comes with a gift bag.
